Transatlantic BFFs

We have some hair static going on here! These two girls are treasured gifts from two of my fabulous friends - I'm a very lucky girl!! I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the Blythe culture, more used to admiring from afar.......but learning.....slowly!!

Ashamed

I'm so ashamed that my little blog has been neglected for so many months. This is what happens when there aren't enough minutes in the day to keep up with everything!

She loves you

I've been having fun recently playing with digital mini kits from Deviant Scrap. This is my latest effort.

I've printed it out and embellished it with gel pens.

If only I could re-capture my lovely pc from Mr S.....is it really fair that he got to commandeer it after he broke the laptop?

Naughty Bunny

As I said previously, Lucy the foster bunny is settling in very well.......a bit too well in some respects!

New Foster Bunny!

No sooner had Bob and Marley bunny gone to their new home than I received a message from Blyth Wildlife Rescue asking me if I could possibly foster their brother!*** The lady who had been fostering him was unable to keep him any longer as her dog was becoming more and more keen to have rabbit pie for tea!

We went straight round to get the bunny, who is a boy called Lucy, and I'm pleased to say he's settled in really well.   So, here we are again searching for a forever home for a gorgeous bunny rabbit!

***  A trip to the vet revealed that Lucy is in fact a girl, which makes a lot more sense!!

Bunny Update

I'm pleased to say that Bob and Marley Bunny went to a lovely new home on Friday (16 March). Their fabulous new family did a 600 mile round-trip to collect them - how fab is that?  They have settled in wonderfully and I'm so happy that my first successful foster/adoption is done!

Bunnies

I am fostering these two bunnies for Blyth Wildlife Rescue. They are so adorable, soft and fluffy. They are incredibly good natured too. They were found in a bag at the side of a road with  their three siblings (who are being cared for by another foster carer). As much as I love them, I hope they find a forever family very soon.

Ollie at the Beach

Ollie at the Beach, originally uploaded by jilleebee.

It was 4 February and hail-stoning. So of course we went to the beach! It was super-duper cold but Ollie seemed to enjoy himself and that's the main thing :)

Birthday Dotee for Judy

Birthday Dotee for Judy, originally uploaded by jilleebee.

When Judy and I agreed our swap it was her birthday so I made her a birthday dotee. The beads on the tail read "Birthday Girl". I was pleased with this doll - this is the first face I have embroidered. It worked so well that I'll have to embroider all my faces from now on :)

Meeces!!

I've joined a Swab-bot swap called "Craft a craft for my cat" and, as the title suggests, you have to make a gift for your swap partner's cat!

I've decided to make some knitted catnip mice and  I'm quite pleased with the way the first one has turned out. I've adapted a pattern that I found on the internet slightly - there are loads of free patterns available!

Battersea Dog and Cat Home even have some patterns but if you use these please make sure that you make some extra mice and send them to the cats in need - only fair! The little pirate is my favourite :)

Fishy Update

Well one week on and Lua is still fit and well, which makes me a very happy girl indeed!

I went to the pet shop this afternoon and updated the nice man on Lua's progress. He informed me that he thought the Rescue Remedy may well have sorted out Lua, as a fish breeder he knows actually uses whisky to  revive his fish if they are poorly!!! I'm not sure if they insist on a single malt or plain old cooking whisky but that's another one to bear in mind if anything like that happens again which, touch wood, it never will!!
